Lynnhurst

Located in Southwest Minneapolis just off Lake Harriet, Lynnhurst is known as a jack-of-all trades. Since it’s right off the lake, there’s plenty of outdoor recreation, but it’s also 20 minutes from the heart of the city and home to some of the best haunts in the area, like George and the Dragon and Broders‘.

Homes in Lynnhurst typically range from $300k to $700k, and most are designed in the Tudor and Mediterranean style. It’s the ideal neighborhood for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city with sacrificing the perks.

Linden Hills

On the other side of Lake Harriet from Lynnhurst, you’ll find Linden Hills. The neighborhood is surrounded by natural areas and lakefront, including the popular Bde Maka Ska and Minikahda Club. While Downtown Minneapolis is just under 20 minutes away, Linden Hills offers its own charming little downtown, filled with popular shops and eateries like the Linden Hills Farmers’ Market, Wild Rumpus Books, Sebastian Joe’s Ice Cream Shop, and Tilia.

As far as homes go, Linden Hills heavily features modest and modern craftsman-style properties. Most homes are one-and-a-half story bungalows with newly renovated interiors, but a large number of new construction properties are also going up in the neighborhood.

The neighborhood is like a cozy little town of its own, with a picturesque shopping center at 50th & France, locally owned restaurants on almost every corner, and tons of neighborhood events like the Fulton Fall Festival and the Fabulous Fulton Plant Sale.

Since the neighborhood is largely cut off from others, life is here is peaceful, quiet, and scenic. Even though Downtown Minneapolis is around 12 minutes up the road, it feels worlds away.

Homes in Kenwood are incredibly luxurious estates, dating all the way back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. If you’re looking to buy a home here, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500k to over $2 million.
